Electronics Shop (AHG 1.218)

The Electronics Shop in AHG has equipment for a wide range of electrical testing and development applications. For any questions regarding the contents of the electronics shop, contact a shop manager. To recieve access to the electronics shop, a short walkthrough training must be given so that all users are familiar and comfortable with the equipment in the space.

Equipment

Soldering Stations

The Electronics Shop has two hand soldering stations with ventilation. Make sure to turn on the ventilation system anytime you are soldering. Generally there is solder wire and wire available in the shop, but if it needs to be resupplied, contact the shop manager.

Reflow Oven

If you are looking to do surface mount soldering, the electronics shop also contains a reflow oven, allowing the liquid solder to properly melt and adhere components to electrical boards. Depending on what type of solder paste you use, you will need to use different heat cycles. Contact the shop manager to get trained on this piece of equipment.

Testing Equipment

The Electronics shop has a variety of electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and spectrum analyzers. If you have any questions about any of the testing equipment, reach out to the shop manager for more information.

Additional Resources
