Markforged MarkTwo Carbon Fiber 3D Printer

Introduction

The MarkTwo printer allows users to print high strength parts using special "Onyx" filament, which is a nylon and carbon fiber composite material, along with a pure carbon fiber support spool. These materials allow the creation of parts with near aluminum strength.

The Markforged MarkTwo printer uses a cloud based slicer software, so no additional software needs to be downloaded for these machines. Instead, users will log in to their accounts at: eiger.io

If you do not have an account, do not create one. Instead, contact a shop manager and send them your @utexas.edu email address. To be able to use the MarkTwo in the DigiFab lab, users will need to be created in the shared group, which can only be done by an admin. Once this account is created, you should recieve an email with further instructions to log in.

Note that to use eiger.io, you must be on Google Chrome with JavaScript enabled.
